Course

The final course has been decided (marked in purple)! At just about 18km with over 800m elevation gain it will be a tough race through the single track and logging roads behind Quest University. There will also be a turn off down Garibaldi Park Road for a shorter (approx 10k) course (marked in yellow).

The race will start near the shuttlers parking lot on Garibaldi Park Road (See Directions to Course above) and begin with a short downhill leading to a gravel road behind Quest University. This climbs steadily with the occasional bushy section until entering the Wormhole single track. More bushy sections alternate between logging roads and single track continue to climb until attaining a major logging road. This is followed until a bridge crossing and where it continues until the Re-Cycle single track which descends to the Ring Creek North FSR. This is followed until its intersection with Garibaldi Park Road.

Here is the only aid station located on the course. A marshall will have water and give instructions. Racers will have a choice to continue with the full course or take the cut-off for the short course by turning down Garibaldi Park Road.

After the aid station, racers cross Ring Creek and gain the STP single track. Here the course becomes extremely rough and rocky with technical descents. The bottom of the STP trail is a short climb on logging road in an exposed cut block to gain the Blindside Trail, this is another technical descent which continues to Poop alley and back to Garibaldi Park Road where the finish is located.
